Guys monet comes if the stories are engaging and especially for science/engineering nerds like me. For too long starting with Sarah Jane and the girl with the knife if you remember it was not about the science any more. Get back to some real sci-fi and the people will come! What about AI plenty of ideas there, such as the prime directive not to interfere as a time lord….

Hi Alistair, Just getting usaed to this website admin stuff . . .
Spot on! Engaging, smart sci-fi is exactly what brings the audience in.
You’ve hit the nail on the head—when the genre leans too far away from the core science and speculative concepts (we definitely remember that era!), it loses the magic that draws in the engineering and science crowd…

Love the AI angle you threw out there. Blending the concepts of a Time Lord’s Prime Directive (or Non-Interference Policy) with an evolving artificial intelligence opens up so many mind-bending questions…

What happens when an AI is bound by a strict directive but calculates that not interfering causes a logical paradox or greater catastrophe?

We are definitely aiming to put the ‘science’ back in sci-fi. Keep the ideas coming!”
